Katie McGroarty Art

Katie McGroarty (she/her) is a working Scottish artist, exhibition coordinator and art tutor. Her practice is currently concerns drawing and mark making primarily with inks although she has worked with installation, multimedia contexts and film.  Her writing is available at ResearchGate, Ekphraisis, Academia and Google Scholar.

Attaining a BA (hons) in Intermedia from the University of Edinburgh, she has since gone on to achieve an MFA in Arts and Humanities from the University of Dundee and is pursuing a PhD in similar fields in the near future. Throughout her education, Katie has worked with groups such as Tackling Elitism and Alt_D, to see a fairer playing field for students from all backgrounds. Currently, she is also a committee member of Generator Projects and the Dundee Art Society.
